MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 424-350 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13 mm, 1.89 g, 1 h). Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue. Rev. N-E-O-Π Head of the nymph of Neapolis to right, her hair coiled around her head and with a bun at the back, and wearing a plain necklace. AMNG III, 2, 12. SNG ANS 430 ff. SNG Copenhagen 228. Beautifully toned and of fine style. Extremely fine.
